...This is a rehearsal for all the empty promises I will be...

It seems that my two weeks of free image hosting is over. I guess this means that I have to write an entry now. I have been sick for like the past week so it's not really my fault that I haven't been writing. I just hope it's not mono, or something tattoo related (which I will later discuss). I think the last time I wrote was the night of the Coldplay concert which was two Mondays ago. I need to make a list of things I have to talk about because two weeks is a long time.
1. Coldplay
2. tattoo
3. Sam Roberts
4. Avalanche
5. my birthday
6. The Ring
1: Coldplay was wonderful as anyone would imagine. I think it even came very close to being worth the $60 for advance tickets I paid. We were on the floor and got against the barricade. The security gaurds there are all anti-standing on floor all of a sudden and forced us to sit on the gross fibre glassy floorboards that cover the ice. They smell and get on your pants and induce coughing. Why anyone would think sitting on them is a good idea, I don’t really know. The Music was hmmm, interesting. I’m not really into that whole dance sexual assault type rock. And yes, it is classified as sexual assault rock when the singer gyrates across the stage and “makes love” to his mic stand for an entire song. But enough about them. Chris Martin is definitely the greatest looking man alive and like Kris, I would not mind having his babies. He just looked so much better when projected onto four ten-foot tall black & white screens. Mmmmm. I took many pictures. With zoom. Once I get them developed, and if they’re good, I’ll put some up.
Also, note to self: do not lock keys in car while car is running even if it means a nice boy will lend you his cell phone for an in-distress call.
2: I got a tattoo on the weekend. Yay. It was really scary and I thought I was going to cry but everything turned out well. I was surprised at how much I was not phased by my decision that would leave me with something on my body for the rest of my life. I now have a small black filled in star on the side and bottom of my big toe. Apparently tattoos are supposed to hurt most on your toe. I don’t know if I just deal well with pain (because I don’t) but it didn’t hurt at all. Well, it hurt a little but not as much as I thought a tattoo on my toe would hurt. Paul was there to hold my hand and make me brave. (Note on Paul: I didn’t think there were any boys like him left in this world. He’s really nice and chivalrous. Like really really nice.) If my mom hadn’t stepped on our digital camera and broke it, I could have taken a picture of it.
3. Sam Roberts. Sam Roberts occurred directly after the tattoo. I think we made it for the first song of the opening band. (Who, by the way, is fronted by Andrew Dickson of Tricky Woo. Definitely didn’t know that until afterwards. He was wearing a rainbow patch a la Girl Scouts. I know because Kris has the same one from our like one year in New Hampshire Girl Scouts.) Here’s the part where I complain. I had to stand for three hours with my tattooed foot wrapped in Saran Wrap and masking tape behind an at least seven foot man who elbowed Kris in the chin (who’s elbow reaches someone’s chin? I mean, really) and an over-40-had-to-be-short-and-bald bachelor party. Or something. Sam Roberts is a short man. I think I saw him like three times. Kris took pictures though so hopefully I can see him then. Becky was really happy because when he walked off the stage he “looked at her.” Hehee. It’s funny when people who’ve only seen the Backstreet Boys and O-Town go to a real concert. Becky: “LOOK!!!! It’s the keyboard player!!!!” From the opening band. She’s a funny girl.
3. Avalanche. Mmmmm. So very good. I went to buy it on the first day I was sick which most likely caused prolonged sickness, but I didn’t care; it was worth it. You can’t call yourself a real fan if you don’t buy it on the day it comes out. You just can’t. Well, unless you’re dork-boy and live in not Canada and have an excuse. I feel bad for him because he hasn’t heard In a World Called Catastrophe on the radio yet and I hear it at least two times every time I get in the car. I’m highly enjoying the cd packaging, with the see through thingy and the art paper and the almost invisible thing on the back. That wasn’t very descriptive, but if you have it, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
4. It was my birthday on Wednesday and not only were my parents in Florida for “March Break” (parents aren’t supposed to have March Break) but I was also sick at home and couldn’t see my friends at school. So if you feel like it, please send some love my way. See, if Tyler was still doing runningforhome I would have a happy birthday message in my guestbook right now; but I do not. And that makes me very sad.
5. I tried watching The Ring last night while alone and in the basement. I got through the first ten minutes and had to stop. It was the part with the girl in the closet. It was scary. I finished it today and had to fast forward through about half of it. Not only is the girl in the well really scary but the little boy scared me as well. I think it was something with his voice not matching his body or something.
My list is done now. Tear. Oh, guess how I get to start my March Break?
Picking up my parents at the airport. Yay.
Note to Graham: I have your grapes in my backpack and will safely return your ziploc bag. Do not worry!!!
