...Canada's not what she used to be. Boycott the world, well she could not afford to...

(This entry would have been finished on Thursday had Survivor not been on. Damn my addiction to reality shows)

A few things to discuss today:

1. My hand
2. The Hamster
3. Matthew Good video
4. Pollstar
5. Taking Back Sunday
6. New End Original
7. Valentine's Day

1. Ok first, the hand. Some of you have voiced some concern over my hand and even though it's a little gross I'm going to tell everyone what it is. If you didn't read a few days ago I do have a lump on the top of my hand. Is it really gross? Yes it is. Did I try to get the son of a nurse to diagnose me? Yes I did.

After having the hand lump for two days I decided to go to the doctor's. There are two specific things that you do not want to hear your doctor say to you when you have a hand lump:

1. "You'll just have to wait for
it to go away on its own."
2. "It may get bigger."

This is after he tells me I have a Ganglion cyst and writes down everything that could happen, and what needs to be done if said things happen, on his little pad of doctor paper. He was saying words like "pain" and "needle" and "surgically removed." Those words are just not fun.

2. Moving on. The hamster. The poor thing is indeed dead. If for some reason you would like to read a drawn out version of his death please go here, to Kris's diary.

3. I kinda already wrote about this yesterday so let me just do some deleting. I have one thing to say about Matthew; I believe I have said it before. He is a beautiful beautiful man. Even more so when he's wearing an argyle sweater and playing a Martin. Not only that, he was also a very cute child.

4. Next. Pollstar. I was very upset that Pollstar (the greatest concert information place ever) listed Matthew Good's tour under Matthew Good Band. So upset that I wrote them an email telling them to change it. And they did. That one was kind pointless.

5. Taking Back Sunday is Playing in Montreal with From Autumn to Ashes and Recover. Good god! That will be one amazing show. I am definitely going.

6. I love Swappington's with all my heart and I've had nothing but good experiences with it up until now. People. Excellent condition does not equal cracked cases, smudgy liner notes, and more scratches than my only copy of Underdogs. (So maybe only MGB fans will understand how scratched that would actually be but let me tell you, it's scratched.) It was Thriller by New End Original and I would have really like it to be in excellent condition.

7. I spent Valentine's Day shopping for Becky's boyfriend's present. You would think that spending Valentine's Day shopping for someone's boyfriend would be bad. But it wasn't because her boyfriend is in a band and very musically inclined which meant that we shopped at Steve's Music and Record Runner. It's kinda funny when you're buying pics for a boy and the guy behind the counter gives you a handful for free and half of them are pink.

I bought the new Flaming Lips and Pedro The Lion's "It's Hard to Find a Friend" at Record Runner. Very very good.
