...I had these dreams that I learned to play guitar. Maybe cross the country, become a rock star...

While in Calculus today I took Becky's "How well do you known your school?" test. Apparently not very well. Especially since I've been going to the same school for four plus years and this test was for the grade 9's. This question made me very happy:

What street is the school located on?

Not so much the question, but the answer. Our school is located on Albert street. Let me say that again. Albert street. If you listen to good music, you will know what point I'm trying to get at.

In spare today, Sam and I spent about an hour in guidance looking at university books. My list of six universities has been narrowed down to 5. I definitely do not want to go to Carleton. I'm strongly in favour of McGill, U of T, and Queen's. In that order. Queen's has lost its appeal to me. If I don't get in, I probably wouldn't mind all that much.

Now, let's talk about English. I hate English with an extreme passion. But I love this class because our teacher is amazing. After spending two weeks in his class I feel that I have been cheated out of my four previous years of taking English.

The book we have to read is called Heart of Darkness. Mr. Pritchard told us that this would be the hardest book we will ever read during our educational years. High school and university. I didn't believe him. It's 94 pages long. It's the hardest book I've ever had to read in school so far and I don't plan on majoring in English in university so it's pretty safe to say that it's the hardest book I'll ever have to read ever.

For those of you that have seen Apocalypse Now (or the Much West special on MGB, depending) the lines "the horror, the horror" will probably be familiar. This book is where it's from. And apparently Apocalypse Now is slightly based on the book. This makes me want to see the movie.

I very desperately want to buy Full Collapse by Thursday. I heard it in it's entirety at The Weakerthans concert. It's very Taking Back Sunday-esque. Even though TBS is compared to Thursday.

...pulled along :: pulled apart...
