...Maybe when your hair gets darker, maybe when your eyes get wide...

I have to discuss a little topic that my sister's diary brought to my attention. Some 14 year old girl wrote a list in her diary as to why she believes that Avril Lavigne is beautiful, talented, real, etc. etc. A 21 year old man had a response to it which, in my opinion, sums up everything that I've ever wanted to say about Avril Lavigne. Read it here (2002-09-17 - 3:14 p.m.) Now I understand that people have a right to their own opinions, and that she was offended. But she decided to attack the man on a personal level. Not cool. And while doing that she made herself look dumb in the process: "I am a 14 year old girl in high school...Um, wow. First of all...if a ten year old (someone FIVE years younger than I) had strong musical opinions that did not agree with mine, I would not care. I seriously would not give a crap."

A: if you're 14, someone who is ten years old would be FOUR years younger than you. Four. Not five.

B: If you don't "give a crap" why have you spent the last 5 entries in your diary trying to defend your opinions. Yeah, exactly.

I don't judge people on the way they look but when Avril Lavigne goes around saying that she has a better body than Britney Spears and yelling at camera men: "my name is Aaaa-vril, not Ay-vril, get it fucking right" (when her name is actually April) then she deserves to get slammed just a little. Even if it's based on her appearance.These pictures (scroll down) sum up quite nicely everything I'm trying to say.

I wrote another entry today.

...pulled along :: pulled apart...
