...I know that I sound opinionated, maybe biased, and quite possibly jaded...

What have I done all weekend, some may ask. Well I will tell you. I haven't written in awhile so I'll try to catch up.
On Friday was our mother/daughter dinner. The dinner was held in honour of our mothers and was a late Mother's Day celebration. It was really fun. We had like ten different kinds of lasagna, appetizers, salad, deserts, garlic bread. It was all very good. Our mothers even got along and were talking and drinking wine throughout the entire night. It's kinda sad when the daughters of the mother/daughter combinations are sitting together half asleep begging to go home but the mothers are good to go into the wee hours of the night.
While having all but one friend there we managed to arrange a mass prom dress buying day and become somewhat more organized with the hotel booking while listening to the Plain White T's. Which, if I haven't mentioned before, is the best band in the world.
On Saturday SAM cam over and we watched Donnie Darko. Oh my freakin god. First of all I must say that the reason why I rented it was to see Alex Greenwald aka singer from Phantom Planet and not for the wonderful (no) plot of the demonic rabbit visions. If anyone has seen it can you please attempt to explain the plot to me because really I have no idea what it was. And what was with the guy in the rabbit suit driving completely over the cute main guy's love interest. That was just a little bit graphic. But really it wasn't because after a car drove over her she looked normal. First of all she didn't even look dead and secondly she wasn't even bleeding. Who gets run over by a car and doesn't even bleed?
Oh something else I forgot to mention. What's with Alex looking ugly in the movie? They gave him an almost mullet and a bad attitude. I really did not enjoy it at all. They should have at least made him look normal.
My aunt and cousin came over yesterday. My cousin is really cute and really smart. She's only seven but she can already carry on an MSN conversation with a 19 year old boy from New Brunswick. 19 year old boy from New Brunswick = boy who plays DMB songs for Kris over the internet. He doesn't like Ryan Adams and for that he should die. Actually he shouldn't die because he's a nice boy that will learn pretty much any song for you. But he draws the line at annoying country-ish voices hence the hatred for Ryan Adams.
I also saw Serendipity today. It was actually pretty good. The plot dragged on a little but John Cusack was in it so that made everything ok. I really enjoy him. Especially in Grosse Pointe Blank. For everyone in my English class: we should watch this movie in class and discuss fate/chance even more than we already have done.
If you want to see a live performane of "please Don't Do This" by the Plain White T's go HERE and scroll to about the middle. If you have a computer faster than mine you may be fortunate enough to see more than one clip every 12.5 seconds.
